Naseem is the English as a Second Language (ESL) and Bakers in Training (BiT) instructor at Hot Bread Kitchen. In addition, she owns a dessert catering company, Wiskt, and is co-owner of a cooperative business providing skilled kitchen support to food businesses, All Hands and the Cook. At Hot Bread Kitchen, Naseem develops curriculum and lessons to teach current BiT trainees language-specific content, workplace skills, and some baking science. Naseem earned her MA from Teachers College, Columbia University and has taught ESL since 2006. She graduated from the Institute of Culinary Eduction (ICE) with a diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts in 2014. She also received the Wusthof Award for Leadership during her time there.
In her spare time, Naseem enjoys going to museums, reading, writing, watching movies (Bollywood and action movies are a top priority), and seeking new music to add to her expanding music library. She is working on improving her photography skills. Naseem also enjoys playing hostess, her one rule is leave your worries at the door and bring yourself!
